1. New Applications

All new applicants should complete an Application form, which is available from the Club bar. A form should be completed, signed and dated, by each individual applicant, there are no Joint or Family memberships. Applicants must be aged 18 years or older. Applications must also be signed and dated by a Proposer and Seconder, if the applicant does not know anyone suitable they can ask to meet with committee members. The Membership subscription plus the Application fee is payable when the application is submitted.

2. Proposers and Seconders

Both Proposers and Seconders must have been Members of the Club for a minimum of 12 months at the time of the application and must be able to vouch for the good character of the applicant and to confirm their suitability to join the Club. If an issue arises with the application the Proposer and Seconder will be asked to explain their action to the Committee.

3. Membership Cards

Membership applications will be posted on the Club notice board for minimum of seven days to allow Club members to raise with the committee any objections they may have with regard to the applicant. If no objections are received within this time a Membership Card will be issued to each applicant. The card has a unique code embedded and can be read by the tills to access the preferential prices enjoyed by Members. The card should be kept safely, it remains valid as long as subscriptions are up to date. Card spot checks may be carried out from time to time.

4. Annual Membership Renewals

Annual Memberships expire on 31st December regardless of the initial starting date. There is one exception for memberships starting in December, which will be valid until the end of the following year. To allow Members time to renew, the expiry date stored in the tills will be set to 31st January. After this date the membership, if not renewed, will show as ‘Expired’ when the card is presented. A further discretionary grace period of two weeks may then allowed for Members to renew. If no renewal payment is made within this period the membership will be deemed to have lapsed and a new application will be required. Lapsed Members can appeal this decision, each case will then be considered on merit by the Committee.

5. Application Fee

An initial, non-refundable, charge of £20 is payable by each applicant in addition to the Annual Subscription. This fee also applies to applications from lapsed memberships.

6. Annual Membership Subscriptions

Ordinary Members                                             £10.00

Senior Members (aged 60 years and over)          £5.00

7. Members’ Guests

All guests must be signed in by the Member(s) introducing them and a signing in fee of £2.00 is required to be paid for each guest, These payments will be made via the account of the Member introducing the guest. Guests can only remain on the premises whilst the member signing them in remains.

Note: Visitor/guests shall only be admitted to the Club once in a calendar month.
